COMPLETE 3 Speed Conversion for a Cruiser, July 14, 2011 By  K. D. Lyon (Orange County, CA) - See all my reviews    Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Electra 26-Inch Rear Wheel (Nexus 3/Coaster, Silver Rim/Silver Spokes) (Sports) This is a complete kit from the Shimano twist grip shifter to the coaster brake clamp. It uses a quality Shimano Nexus internal 3 speed. The sprocket shipped is a large 23 tooth unit that just barely allowed the use of my stock chain. The new sprocket allows an "under drive" 1st (low gearing), 2nd is close to "stock", and 3rd is an "overdrive" (high speed). Very cool. The rim itself is marked "HJC" (P-34) and has a center "hump" where the spokes thread to. It is not like the far more common "flat" cross section seen on cruiser rims. I like the look, but purists may not dig the likely mismatch with their front rim. I am not that pure. It looks more like my dirt bike rims. I am pleased with the quality of this kit and the new-found shiftitude that my bike now sports. If only the price was below a hundred bucks shipped, this would be a 5 star review.
